And four months later....

It's been a long road. A long jorney to get here to this point where I can actually find some time. Time for ME. It is 11:15 p.m., the twins have been in bed for an hour and a half and the older boys for two hours. And me...I surf the 'net and relish in the silence. So, no blogging like I planned to...but I will catch up and get this show on the road. More importantly, I will upkeep (don't know how long that's gonna last lol).

It's actually been a very, very busy few months. Filled with uncertainty, doctors appointments, hospitals, testing, lab work, specialists and above all...fear. The fear of the unknown is suffocating, many times I found myself sobbing into Karsons shoulder as he slept on mine. Just asking for someone, ANYONE, to help find a reason for his inability to thrive. I rubbed his tiny feet...and wrapped my fingers (completely) around his thighs void of any fat. None. at. all. After many months, we think we have finally found a solution. After NG tube feedings, almost continously. Speciality formula (a.k.a. EXPENSIVE). Antacids, beta blockers, antibiotics and other reflux goodies. Oh...and dieticians, therapists, nutritionists, weekly doctors appointments, home nurse visits, and numerous other specialists. He is now moving up. Up in height, up in weight, up in development. My Karson is now thriving...

Don't get me wrong...he is still considered "failure to thrive", still gets NG feeds, still takes in speciality formula, still has developmental issues....but he's moving in the right direction. I will take one tiny step forward in that direction over standing still and especially over moving backwards. My teeny tiny boy has finally reached....and stayed at....12 POUNDS! At 11 months, he weighs as much as some 6 week olds do. But he's so cute. And so tiny. He's seriously my pocket partner. I can take him anywhere. I can carry him for hours. I can put him in my purse like those tiny dog carrying rich ladies in L.A. Well, not really...but sorta. Only thing I carry him in my Ergo.

What's new: teeth! Yep...both Mini's have teeth coming out. In. the. same. place. Nice! Double the teething = two very upset little men. It's so cute though! I love their tiny teeth.

What else is new: crawling! Well, not a full on hands and knees kinda crawl...but they definitely have the army, belly crawl going on. Mobility here we come!
